The Five at Five: Haus

24 avr. 2020

The Five at Five is a download of the best things to read, watch, shop, and get inspiration from – ready for the weekend. Each week, we’ll be bringing you selections from different tastemakers in our community, so you can delve into what’s keeping them entertained.

This week’s curator is Helena Hambrecht, founder of Haus, an alcohol brand designed for the way we drink today. Born and bottled in California, Haus is a white-wine based aperitif – perfect for the conscious drinker.

Here’s how Helena’s unwinding this weekend.

Read:
I'm in the middle of Untamed by Glennon Doyle. Typically I gravitate toward management or productivity books but it feels good to bury myself in a memoir right now.

Watch:
Most TV stresses me out, so I gravitate toward shows about food. I love Chef's Table because it's so impeccably done, but I also love more low-fi productions like David Chang's Ugly Delicious or Samin Nosrat's Salt Fat Acid Heat.

Listen: We make playlists at Haus for every season, and my husband and I recently made a quarantine playlist for cozy nights at home. You can tune in here.

Shop: I'm not a big shopper, but right now I'm stocking up on toys for my toddler, books, and booze. We subscribed to several wine clubs this month (like this one from Miracle Plum) and we're generally trying to support independent food and beverage makers like Goldmine or Fly By Jing.
